All beware that I installed a number of CBXI controllers with the explore display. Customer loves then but I found out that the CBXi cannot be used with a MSTP connection (only a router from IP to MSTP). ABB advised to daisychain the controllers on the IP side; however, this takes all my ethernet ports on the controller needed for the explore display.
Page 41 of the CBXI user manual says that they can be daisy chained on the MSTP side, but this is not correct per ABB. Just beware when going this route to make sure you include small switches at each panel or have dedicated drops to each panel.
